Business of the Year Awards
The Tangipahoa Chamber is inspired by the incredible work of our members and is proud to recognize businesses that are achieving success, embracing growth and innovation, investing in their teams, and strengthening our community through our annual Business of the Year Awards.
Nominations are now open for the Tangipahoa Chamber's Business of the Year Awards, with Small, Medium, Large, and Breakthrough Businesses of the Year to be recognized at our Installation and Awards Luncheon on Tuesday, January 12, at the Southeastern Student Union Grand Ballroom.
Businesses may nominate themselves or be nominated by an employee, fellow Chamber member, customer, or anyone who believes their work this year deserves to be recognized. The deadline for nominations is Friday, October 23, at noon.
The Chamber will connect with selected nominees as part of the awards process to gain first-hand insight into their business, accomplishments, and impact. One thoughtful nomination is sufficient to bring a deserving business forward for consideration. We understand that others may independently submit a nomination for the same business, but the number of nominations received does not influence the selection process.
Award categories:
- Small Business of the Year: Annual revenue under $2 million and/or fewer than 20 employees
- Medium Business of the Year: Annual revenue between $2 million and $10 million and/or 20 to 100 employees
- Large Business of the Year: Annual revenue over $10 million and/or more than 100 employees
- Breakthrough Business of the Year: In business for fewer than three (3) years
Businesses do not have to meet both the revenue and employee criteria to qualify for a category. The Tangipahoa Chamber will determine the appropriate award category when necessary.
Eligibility: All nominees must be active members of the Tangipahoa Chamber of Commerce. Not sure if the business you are nominating is a member? Check our online directory. Government agencies are not eligible for recognition.
